Reverse Raffle 2007

MARCH, 2008

The 5th Annual Men for Change will take place the first of March.  This fundraiser is conducted during the month of February as a way to recognized the man in your life.  A man may be sponsored by his wife, girl friend, church or service club recognizing him as a man who is willing to take a stand again domestic violence.  These men are recognized in an ad in the Franklin Times and Wake Weekly.  Each participate is requested to take steps during the year that will bring about a change in the fight against domestic violence by getting involved.  They can do this  by volunteering, talking with men and sharing information about Domestic Violence, be a role model for young boys and encourage others to support Safe Space.  This event has been very successful for Safe Space in the past and has generated money that goes directly to support the services of Safe Space, Inc.

APRIL, 2008

Safe Space Inc. will be presenting a Bullying Prevention Program during the spring at Louisburg Elementary School.  This program is for all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.  This program can be provided at other schools also.  If you would like more information on the Bullying Prevention Program please call our office at (919) 497-5599 and ask for Colleen Cassada.

MAY, 2008

Our Second Fashion Show is being planned for the spring.  Our fall show at the Louisburg Senior Center was a great hit and they have asked "for more".  Our fashion show will feature fashions that were taken from our Safe Space Thrift Store.  You can dress beautifully and for MUCH less!!!  The public is invited and when this event is more finalized detailed will be published in the Franklin Times.

Volunteer Training will be held during the month of May 2008.  This training program is presented twice a year.  The training is given to those who are volunteering at Safe Space Inc., the general public who want to learn about Safe Space and its services and for newly hired staff.  If you would like more information regarding this training please call our office at (919) 497-5599 and ask for Dawn Stallings.

JUNE, 2008

Our 6th Annual Reverse Raffle will be held on June 7, 2008 at the Louisburg Methodist Church.  The theme this year will be a  "Hollywood" theme and ticket sales will begin in May.  If you would like to call in advance and reserve your ticket, please call our office at (919) 497-5599 and ask for Brenda Thomas.  Details on this event will be published as soon as available.
