Show Us that Smile!! Just a few of the many volunteers, donations and activities Safe Space, Inc. has the privilege to receive or organize in it's struggle against Domestic Violence.
The 11th Annual Candlelight Vigil was held on October 1, 2009 at Louisburg College. The event featured the Clothesline Project, Purple Shoe Memorial and presentations from community leaders. Two victims of domestic violence in Franklin County during 2009 were recognized with a lighted candle and rose.
The Safe Space Fashion show was held at the Franklin County Senior Center again this year on August 18th. All fashions were from the Safe Space Thrift Store located at 304 Nash Street in Louisburg, NC. Store hours are Monday thru Saturday from 9:00 until 4:00 PM. All donations are tax-deductible.
Safe Space sponsored a law enforcement training on September 10th at the Louisburg Training Center. This training was funded by the NC Governors Crime Commission and was titled "Obsessive Love-Jealousy to Murder" present by Lt. Michael Prodan.
