Just a few of the many volunteers, donations and activities Safe Space, Inc. has the privilege to receive or organize in it's struggle against Domestic Violence.

The Hands are not for Hitting Campaign was held this past fall.  Students from various elementary, middle and high schools plus Louisburg College participated in the event.  Students were asked to take a pledge that they will not use their hands to hurt another student to resolve a problem.  After taking the pledge they traced their hands on display sheets.  These traced hand banners are being displayed at our domestic violence events. 

The Century Link Annual Community Yard Sale in Wake Forest, NC was held this year in the fall and Safe Space was selected by Century Link to receive proceeds from this event to help support Safe Space.  Community awareness is one of the many ways Safe Space informs the public of our services and the help available for victims of domestic violence.

Our Annual Clothesline Project was held this year at the Louisburg  Police Training Center.  T-Shirts were created by the victims and their children to express their feelings of survival and renewed hope for the future.  These shirts then travel to different events during the year as a visual display of the many victims and children of domestic violence.
