Featuring:

Lundy Bancroft - Lundy Bancroft has specialized for thirty years in confronting domestic abusers and supporting their victims and children. He has authored six books, including the U.S.'s best-selling book on domestic violence, Why Does He Do That?, and the national prizewinner The Batterer as Parent. He trains professionals across the continent including advocates, therapists, social workers, judges, and police. Lundy also leads weekend healing retreats for women who have escaped abusive partners. His new book (his first one for a general audience) is The Joyous Recovery: A New Approach to Emotional Healing and Wellness.

Melissa Faith Hart - Melissa Faith Hart is the Founder & CEO of e-BodyGuard. She has spent 17 years in corporate America and also has 20 years of experience working with law enforcement (eight years with District Attorneys). Melissa co-pioneered Colorado eDiscovery, an architecture that streamlines and automates evidence collection. Melissa’s lived experiences, combined with her time with law enforcement and her history with Xerox and Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) scientists, give her a unique blend of technical experience and skillsets to provide her expertise to survivors. This will empower them to advocate for themselves all the way through the system. Melissa will speak on domestic violence safety protocols. These protocols have been created with e-BodyGuard technology for survivors and victims of domestic violence.

Jacqueline Sills - Jacqueline Sills a native New Yorker currently residing in Franklin County, NC. Jacqueline has worked in the Domestic Violence arena for 17 years. She is the co-owner of Choosing To Change. A local non-profit abuser treatment program that serves persons who have been abusive in their intimate partner relationships. Choosing To Change serves Franklin, Vance, and Wake counties. Our goal is to teach offenders new and different ways to handle the difficulties of intimate partner relationships without being abusive. Jacqueline believes that everyone has the propensity to change given the opportunity. One of her God given missions in life is to empower individuals with the knowledge of healthy relationships.
